The Holt Community Food Bank provides weekly, monthly and holiday relief for individuals and families who might otherwise go hungry. FPC-Holt provides volunteers (and sorting space!) to make it happen!
One of our Deacons’ ministries is providing a Medical Lending Closet for the community. We take in donations of wheelchairs, walkers, tub benches and other types of equipment, and then make them available for people who might not be able to afford them otherwise.
Advent House is a local shelter for the homeless — and the only shelter that remains open for meals on the week-ends. Our church has the privilege of fixing and serving a meal for the Advent House 6 times a year.
Our church family is no different than most families these days: cancer threatens the quality of life — and the very lives — of our loved ones. With so many in our congregation who have been affected, you’ll find abundant support for your own experiences with cancer. Join our purple team!
One of our local elementary schools has a large segment of students who are labeled “at risk” by educators, but to us, they’re beloved children of God! FPC-Holt is happy to come alongside those students and support them with weekly tutoring (aka, 1-on-1 love!), week-end back-packs of food, and starting their day with a smile and a bagel on walk-to-school days!
